I am so happy to be back at St. Mary’s –if only for a while. Father Clement asked me if I would fill in this summer and perhaps fall to give him and the search committee enough time to find someone who will be a really good fit for our school. There seemed to be a lot of work for an administrator to do this summer with preparing to reopen school under the Covid-19 restrictions. He didn’t want to lose any time.
That being said, we are experiencing some crazy times with this pandemic. I recognize the need to keep all students and staff safe while at the same time continuing to educate our children. My goal this fall is to make sure we are able to continue the tradition of strong instructional strategies and a comprehensive curriculum that results in outstanding academic achievement.
Our Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) curriculum is enhanced through student use of our 3D Printer and our Makerspace classes. Our school offers opportunities and experiences for elementary students that create happy children who love learning.
Our school is filled with the Holy Spirit.
While we will have to curtail some or our specials classes for early fall because of Covid restrictions, we will resume full speed ahead when our school can return to full capacity.
I pray for all Catholic schools that God will assist us in doing the job that we do best while keeping our families safe. Pray for us this year.
